1. Starting From a Place Called VRChat

VRChat is a social VR platform where people gather in shared virtual spaces using avatars.

Unlike traditional online games, it has no clear objectives, levels, or scores.
People are free to talk, listen, create, or simply exist alongside others.

This openness is what makes VRChat feel less like a game and more like an experimental space.
For ZONE, VRChat is not a destination—it is a starting point.

2. VRChat as a Metaverse VR Space

VRChat belongs to a category often referred to as “metaverse VR.”

Metaverse spaces are not designed around predefined goals or achievements.
Meaning emerges through how people choose to use the space.

Because of this, metaverse platforms are often mistaken for MMORPGs,
even though their structures are fundamentally different.

3. Metaverse and MMORPG: A Structural Difference

A simple way to understand the difference is to compare television and YouTube.

MMORPGs are like television.
The world, rules, and experiences are designed by the creators,
and players participate within that framework.

Metaverse spaces are closer to YouTube.
Users are not only participants, but also creators.
Culture, purpose, and value emerge from the community itself.

The key difference lies in who controls the worldview.

4. What Metaverse Spaces Allow That Games Cannot

In MMORPGs, even those that appear highly flexible,
the worldview remains fundamentally controlled by the developers.

Minecraft, for example, offers creative freedom,
yet its visual language, physics, and universe are still defined by the platform.

Metaverse spaces allow something different:
the possibility to express an entire worldview—its atmosphere, values, and structure—directly as a space.

This is not about better gameplay.
It is about ownership of meaning.

5. The Absence of Token Economies—For Now

Most metaverse VR platforms, including VRChat,
do not currently implement cryptocurrency-based token economies.

There are exceptions, such as platforms like The Sandbox,
but even these systems are still in early stages.

This absence does not indicate failure.
It highlights that the metaverse is still incomplete.

What matters is not current implementation,
but the direction toward decentralized value and trust.

6. When Metaverse, Cryptocurrency, and AI Converge

A major transformation may occur when three elements align:

  • Metaverse spaces as environments for presence

  • Cryptocurrency as decentralized value systems

  • AI as generative and adaptive intelligence

Together, these could enable worlds where culture, economy, and intelligence evolve simultaneously.

This future is not guaranteed.
But the structural conditions are beginning to take shape.

7. Why ZONE Exists at This Intersection

ZONE is not waiting for completion.

It exists in the experimental phase—
where ideas are tested before systems solidify.

VRChat is not the final form.
But for now, it offers the most space to explore presence, sound, and meaning without constraint.

ZONE does not aim to build a finished world.
It exists to ask what kinds of worlds are worth building.
