Drift Away

MoriKei | Electronic / Ambient / Techno | 2026

About the Track

Drift Away is an electronic music piece that blends soft synthesizers, fragmented vocals, and a gently pulsing groove.

Built around delicate vocal chops and a repeating bass arpeggio, the track gradually unfolds into a spacious, immersive soundscape.

Warm piano tones, atmospheric pads, and rhythmic sidechain movement create a balance between stillness and motion.

Behind the Music

Rather than following a specific genre, I wanted to create something that simply felt natural and comfortable to listen to.

The track began with a simple groove and vocal fragments created using VOCALOID. Instead of adding more layers, I focused on refining the textures, rhythms, and relationships between sounds.

The result is a piece that moves between the intimacy of electronic pop, the repetition of techno, and the atmosphere of ambient music.

Drift Away is about letting go of boundaries and allowing sound to flow naturally.
